Arts and Crafts

The term “arts and crafts” is a very vague one. There are many things this could apply to, and there are millions of products that fall into this category. Even though this may be confusing, in all reality it works for the subject because nothing else about art can have definitive parameters put around it!

Everything from photography to needlepoint can fall into the category of arts and crafts, and everything else that has to do with creativity. There is a lot of debate on what is “art” and what is a “craft” and the answer isn’t very definitive. A generally accepted answer is that if a person just dabbles in it occasionally, it is a craft. For those who devote themselves to it every chance they get or make a living off of it, it is art.

No matter what you think of it as, whatever you are making is creative and wonderful. If you are expressing yourself it will fall under “arts and crafts.” It is your creation, so you have the authority to label it as whatever you want.
