An art store will provide a wide range of materials. This is helpful because different artists will prefer different brands. Also, different levels of skill and dedication will call for different levels of monetary investments when it comes to art supplies.

There are a few other benefits which an art store can supply. Many will supply their own brand of such things as paints and mediums. This is helpful because they are often at least as good as student quality. However they are commonly less expensive than professional brands.

An art store will also often provide classes. These classes vary in subject matter as well as with how in-depth they go. Common focuses include watercolor and the framing of works.
